As a network drive for extra space or for backup or both it seem like a good value. So far it works well. One problem I had with installation was that my apple computer could not at first use the drive with apple's backup program (Time Machine). However the customer support is good and includes the ability to speak directly to a person. I think I remember that the first person didn't know the answer (or was hard to understand) but he connected me to another who knew right away what to do. It was quite simple and he referred me to a question reference number on the help web site. The fix was easy to understand and it worked exactly as advertised. It now works for my apple backup software.
